Most of our October was up to TWICE warmer than normal and absolutely bone dry when our cool weather and non stop rain is supposed to start in *September.* That period is when our amphibians travel before it gets too cold, when many of our plants are supposed to die back while others surge, when we're meant to have two months of a mushrooms everywhere before frosts that may be coming in only days now. Our wildlife lost an entire season it was adapted to since the ice age.
